Bate and switch.

I and a neighbor had the same problem with the actual cost was almost $1000 more than the quote. As a senior citizen it striped my meager savings If you check the BBB they are out of business.

Lots of damage.

I am not disputing the charges, but the damage to the furniture. I paid extra to have Professional Moving Solutions pack certain items and paid for the supplies. The Table, Hutch and chairs have scrapped paint and gouges. The beds won't liine up properly to reassemble them correctly. The screws and bolts to reassemble the table and beds were lost. The dining chairs were only covered with black trash bages for protection. A love seat has the arm bent and out of alignment.

I will use again.

Showed up on time. Two of the most pleasant gentlemen moved my mother's things to her new home. It was almost a hundred degrees and never once did I hear a complaint. Very professional and speedy. These guys never took a break and moved with speed. The move cost exactly what they quoted me. They will always be my first choice in movers and will recommend them to anyone!

Long-distance move from Maryland to Alabama

Horrible experience.

I tried to move my car and apartment with this company. Horrible.Firstly, they don't follow the contract:Arrived late for 3 hours for apartment moving and increased the price for the same amount of items listed on the contract. The first thing they arrived is to complain that I got too many items and ask for more money. But in fact their representative did the estimate for me and guaranteed that 10 large boxes (5 ct for each) should be sufficient. Actually it did. But they used 13 medium boxes (3ct) instead of 10 large boxes (which is written in contract) with increased price in moving. When I showed them contract and tried to connect with the office person: Mary, they refused to communicate and insisted for more money. The same thing happened to delivery. On the contract, the stair fee has been included. But when they arrived, they asked for stair fee and long carrier fee and threatened not to deliver my stuff if I didn't pay it. I doubt if this fee should exist or they just wanted to "steal" every penny I have as the driver, his manager and Mary gave me different prices. As I insisted not paying anything which had been mentioned in the contract, they then asked for higher long carrier fee. Finally I paid additional "long carrier fee" after one and half hours. Secondly, the legal entity of this company is confusing. The company I have contracts with is Professional Movers Group in Maryland who claimed they are not broker. But when they said they also have car moving business, they didn't mention they are broker. Thirdly, they are hard to communicate and have bad customer service. For car moving, This Company missed scheduled pickup date. I contacted them through the emails and phone calls and wanted to have a time frame so that I could plan the car rental time. But they only replied an email after 1 week, saying they need another 10 business days. But they still refused to give you any time frame. Afterwards, they barely picked up my calls or reply my emails but saying you could call as many times as you want. Finally, after I contacted the bank to dispute the car pick up, they called me with no notice and said the car would be picked up next day. And they just gave you the time and driver number and disappeared. You couldn't change the time and had to contact the driver yourself as they gave the driver the wrong pick up address. For apartment moving, they didn't deliver my stuff at my scheduled date and claimed they had 45 days' time frame in law. They finally contacted me on Sunday and said they would deliver next day without notice. When I mentioned the leasing office is not open on Sunday and I couldn't schedule the move in date with them, they said you could make it happen or pay 150/day for late delivery.

Scammers.

I was put in touch with Professional Moving Solutions through Movers.com.  I was moving approximately one mile to my new home with a two bedroom house.  Jason emailed me a quote of $324.00 (not bad right).  They were the lowest quote so I went with them.  Shame on me for not checking the reviews, it wont happen again.  Several times I was told by Jason to “read the contract.”  Interpretation….bend over cause this is going to hurt.  So the movers arrive late.  The foreman demands that I quickly sign several forms before they will even get started.  Come to find out if the customer doesn’t sign these forms the workers don’t get paid.  After being pressured to sign the forms I get the actual price of the move after I get hammered with all the packing material that I had to buy.  Seriously I had to buy their material before that would load my stuff.  ($662.85 was my total charges).  Double the original quote. Once they load all of your stuff with their expert packing job…that last part was a joke, they hold your stuff hostage refusing to unload it at the new destination until they receive their payment in full.  I go get a cashiers check for $573.85 and pay them so they will get back to work.    So I figured sense I just purchased $160.00 in packing material and the EXPERT PACKERS carefully wrapped my furniture my stuff would not get broke right? WRONG!  The damaged the floor of my old house and the door frames.  They damaged my dresser, night stand, and the walls to my new house.  I leave to go back to the old house to get another load (that they didn’t take).  While I’m gone the movers hustle my wife to sign the contract before I can even inspect the furniture for damages.  They are gone when I return home to find the damages.   So I file a claim for reimbursement in October.  You are instructed not to call because it will delay your claim.  Three months go by….nothing.  I email them ….nothing.  I call…refuse to call me back ..again nothing.  My wife contacts the Better Business Bureau.  Now we get a call that they had lost my claim but suddenly found it and are feverishly working to let me know what they are going to do.  Well now it’s February and I still have not got an email, letter or the common courtesy of a reach around.   If you are considering them DON’T.          .

Dishonest and don't care.

I was not advised by the sales rep that there would be a charge for wrapping my beds and furniture. He asked me on the phone if I was good on packing supplies and I said yes because I didn't need boxes or bubble wrap or packing tape or anything that you normally associate with packing supplies. He did not inform me that it was required that furniture and beds be wrapped and that if I didn't do it there would be a charge. If he had, I would have done that. Instead, the movers show up and tell me that I will need to pay $440 more for my items to be wrapped. He told me the movers would have all the necessary padding and tools and everything needed and it was all included in the price he quoted me. Not only did I have to pay this extra $440, but the movers didn't have any tools, so they were borrowing my tools to work on the furniture. The owner called the movers about 3 minutes after my quoted time was up and demanded I pay more money for them to continue working. That was very unprofessional. One of the movers was on his phone the majority of the time. I had to ask the main mover to have the guy get off his phone. Their "customer service" had little to say and did nothing about this terrible experience. They are content to keep your money and don't worry about future business or referrals.

LIARS! and Scammers!!

Although I am guilty of not checking the reviews for this company what they did to me is dispicible! I was charged for four hours and only got three hours of their time!  They were late and I could smell alcohol on them when they arrived at my house to move me.  The first thing the lead guy (Jose?) did when they got there was do a walk through and then he proceeded to tell me that the washer was $100 and the dryer was $100 dollars extra!  That my couch and love seat HAD to be shrink wrapped and that would be an extra $80 a piece!! I told him I was never told that and that I did not have the money! He spent the next twenty minutes chatting on the phone and came back and said ok I was authorized to waive the fee for the washer and dryer but the sofas MUST be shrink wrapped!  I said listen you can't come in here an hour late and start bullying me into paying fees that I was never told about!! I told him if that's the case you can leave and I will get a refund! He said um we will charge your card $550 for cancelling!! At this point I am in tears!  He gets back on the phone and after another 20 minutes he comes back and says ok we can waive the fee for the furniture but you have to sign a waiver so I did!  They knew they only had 3 hours and purposeley moved as slowly as they could burning up more than half that time loading a washer, dryer, 2 dressers 2 tables and about 40 boxes and I was loading right along with them! I am a 51 year old female and live in an area where I really only know the people I work with because I just moved here from New York.  They slowly got the furniture into my new place didn't hook up the washer or dryer and broke the closet door where those appliances sit.  We then drive 2 blocks to my storage unit to off load the boxes and by this time there is only about 20 minutes left, so the lead guy tells the other guy to off load the boxes (which most were too heavy for me to lift) and stack them against the wall outside the storage unit while he sat on his fat a** in the truck and said to me while I was running boxes into the unit uh I need you to sign this.  I said you're leaving aren't you?  He lied and said yea I just got called by the office (i'ts 20 to 9 now) and they insisted I leave, they are putting me in a bad position!! I said so you are going to leave a 51 year old woman here alone to take all these boxes that I can barely lift into this unit by myself?! You guys are awesome!! he said yes, if I had known he wouldn't have been paid if I didn't sign you better bet your sweet a** I NEVER would have signed that paperwork!! I was there for another 2 hours putting my belongings into that unit and I was terrified being there alone!! I have moved so many times in my life that I have lost count, this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had!  They are lazy, slow, liars and scam artists!! NEVER, NEVER use this company!! I wonder if they would even care if their mothers were treated the way I was by them!! I doubt it because people like this have no morals and no sense of decency! All I can say is KARMA!!  Oh and as a footnote I tried to attach a photo but this site won't let me says its over 2MB when it IS 2MB! :(.

Additional charges.

To begin with, the amount that I was quoted (the binding estimate) was inaccurate. When I tried to call/e-mail them about the difference no one responded. I went along with it thinking that the cubic feet probably ended up more as I underestimated the number of boxes that I had but no one would confirm that. The guys who picked up were super nice and did a great job. However, when it came time for the delivery, the proverbial poo hit the fan. The driver was unable to get his truck on my street so had to rent another truck to bring my things. That I had to pay for. This is a moving company. How did they not know that in the beginning? When he got to my house, I had purchased a cashier's check for my final payment (we used a bank money order for the first payment). The driver not only would not accept the cashier's check but he started yelling at me about it. No explanation about why it had to be a "postal money order". I had to go to the bank to cash the cashier's check and he told me he was going to charge me an extra $100 for making him wait. Fat chance that was going to happen. Then he actually argued with me about where to place my furniture. In the end, my quote went from $1,900.00 to an actual price of $2,652.00 I will never use this company again and would never recommend them.    .

Would not return deposit.

I had agreed for them to pick up a car in Michigan and deliver it to Florida.  The deal on the car fell apart and they refused to return my $200 deposit.  Yes, I did sign a contract, BUT THEY NEVER DID A THING.  A reputable company would have understood and returned the deposit for hopes of future business, but not them.  DO NOT USE THEM.  There are MANY car haulers out there who emphasis not to pay a dime up front, and now I understand why.  Find a reputable company that does not require a deposit and you will have a much better experience than dealing with these money [EDIT] hounds.

Long-distance move from Florida to Washington DC

Happy in DC.

This was my first Interstate move so naturally I was nervous. I spoke to A LOT of moving companies the more I researched the more dissalussioned I became particularly with the movers that use scare tactics (beware of this..etc) to get my business.
My biggest objective was to stay within my budget..I could not afford last minute surprises, and "unexpected" changes in price.
When I called Professional Moving Solutions I spoke to Jennifer, it didn't take me long to know I found my moving company. Jennifer was wonderful, she took the time to listen to my needs and understand what my concerns were. She was both attentive and extremely responsive not just that day but throughout the entire move. Even threw the hiccups Jennifer and Joe were great they took care of the issues that arose quickly and with the highest level of integrity, I am very pleased and would definitely recommend their company.

Professional Moving Solution.

On June 27, 2012, we hired this company to move  our goods from 3145 Stonehurst Circle to 1140 Aqua Lane in Clermont, Fl. Unfortunately, my stove's  electrical panel was damaged to the extend that I have not been able to use it . Also , an off-white Ethan Allen sectional was soiled. They offered $ 60.00 for the stove and $ 10.00 for the sectional. With that amount I cannot buy a new stove. I called and sent e-mail but received no response. It has been an unplesant experience. They are extremely nice at the beginning , but will ignore you, if you make a claim  .

Long-distance move from West Virginia to Virginia

Bad car transport experience.

Using the company had been the biggest mistake in my life.

I had a truck that needed to be removed by Dec 22 and I was misled by the sales rep. Warren's false information at the time when I placed the order on Dec 21.
He told me there was a driver ready to pick up my truck. He said there is two spots to for me to choose between Dec 22 and Dec 23 and told me I didn't need to wait for dispatch for any more day and Dec 22 is good to go. When I asked him about the pick time, he said it was 1:30p.m. He also told me I would receive several emails from their company and I needed to e-sign them, including a $150 deposit credit card authorization. Although I know most other company did not charge customers upfront, realizing I only had one day left to pick up and I had tried other companies before but with no luck, I signed them, that's when all my trouble began.

When I called the dispatch manager Joe, on the morning of Dec 22 just to double check, and found out there wasn't any driver yet to pick up on Dec 22. I was misled by Warren all the way throughout the whole process. He is unprofessional, unethical and fraudulent. He just wanted my money without anything line up for me. I called Warren all day on Dec 22 and his colleagues always said he was busy. Even I felt so upset, but realizing still need to pick up my truck. my wife and I took the rest of Dec 22 off to drive all the way to WV to pick up our truck. It took us the whole day. Terrible experience! I also disputed the charge to my credit card company, they told me since I signd the docs and authorized those payment, I need to pay $150 to them even with zero service from them.

Dishonest.

These people will tell you anything in order to get you to sign and pick them.  Erik, the salesman I worked with, specifically told me that there would be NO EXTRA CHARGE for protecting all my wood furniture and my bed, we had a lengthy conversation only regarding this issue.  That is the only way that I would have signed.  Guess what?!  The day of the move, before touching anything I was made to sign almost $300 extras only for packaging!!  I was furious,  I call Erik, and he flat out tells me that he NEVER promised anything!!  Well, I am a businessperson and have been for 30 years, I understand deals and I carefully picked them after my due diligence.  These people are all liars, Jose, the moving manager lied to me all day long as well.  He said that his main boss authorized him to give me a 20% discount on the packaging material, all so I would agree to go on with the move.  At the end of the day, Jose also "forgot" the discount.. So they really stuck it to me.  THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD NEWS!!  A $350 move turned into $850.  Do not trust them.

Great experience.  The movers showed up on time.  They wrapped everything like it was there own furniture.  My sales person Lisa was such a help over the phone and very professional.  I will use them again if I move.  I will recommend them to my family and friends.  My items arrived within the time period they said they would.  I didn't have any damages and was very impressed.

Terrible.

Arrive late even though an inventory is requested before the moving, as soon as they arrive they start doing another one. I have suff already with packing material.. Well they did not care and add their own and add us 220 to the bill for this, by the way the movement was within 5 miles.. Then they ask for the payment before delivering, when asking for total. It was more than quoted. Just because of the extra packing that was not even requested. We had to pay as our household were hold.. And by they way they continue charging..And forgot to mention the arrangements was for 3 men, but usually one was always in side the truck so mainly the work is done by 2 men at the end the service was less time and so far I have not seen the refund.

Long-distance move from Florida to Ohio

Furniture hostage & Excess Unwarranted Addl Charges.

In my 74 yrs this move & dealing with this company has been one of the worst experience in my life! I gave them an accurate inventory, which they quoted $2582., which was in same ball park as 2 other bids, for 2 SMALL ROOMS. I pd $515. down & was told to have 2 money orders-50% of balance $1033. pick up & $1033. when delivered. Whil packing I was told price would be higher because Cu Ft is exceeding what TYHEY figuired, plus an addl $900. for wrapping my furniture in plastic, None of these extras were ever explained, plus on delivery they wanted extra to climb steps to second floor. So I gave both noney orders to them. When I arrived in Ohio I called to see why my furniture has not arrived on 7/26 or 27 when I was told I need to wire then an addl $512., which I did to get my furniture & clothes, etc. I called numerous times & always got their answering service and the only time they call me was for more money. Finally after 29 days they sent an e-mail stating I must have an addl $3315. on delivery. You do the math - $6440. for 2 very small rooms!! My goods were received in an old "Frito Lay" trailer. It was cheaply painted with letters bleeding thru. Then they refused to accept the 5th/3rd Bank Money orders which delayed the unpacking for an hour while we argue with the GM in Florida. They was Amscott, which doesn't exist in Ohio or Postal Money Order at 6 PM with everything closed, plus I wasn't going to bend on this issue. Finally they agreed. Now I'm in debt because of their business practice which makes me sick. In comparison, I have friends who moved from 4 BR house in Tampa to Atlanta thousabds less than what I was illegally charged! .

Do NOT waste your time.

Was quoted $365 for a local move of an estimated 18 miles which I thought was great for a 3 bedroom move. I confirmed the amount thru phone conversation and email. After arriving and taking an inventory, they proceeded to inform me that I would need to pay $1100 because they had to specially pack the stove and sofa, pay $20 per mattress/box spring and I was also charged for 13 rolls of tape @ $8 per roll as well as other miscellaneous packing items. Needless to say, this was ridiculous! I was put in touch with the office manager who told me he would waive some of the packing fees and had the field rep go over the inventory again to eliminate the moving of certain items to see if he could get the quote back to somewhere near what was originally quoted. After the field rep, who was very understanding thru the process gave the office manager the new information, I guess because it was lower than what he expected, refused to honor his word of waiving some of the fees and told me for $513 he could move only 2 mattress and 2 box springs, (keep in mind it's a 3 bed home) and if I wanted the king size bed moved it would be an extra $60.. Needless to say, I told them I'll take my business elsewhere. This is a very shady company that will lure you in with a good price in hopes to kill you with the hidden charges. If you value your money and you want to keep your piece of mind, AVOID using this company at all cost.

DO NOT hire Professional Moving Solutions for your move!

After many moves both domestically and globally, I've never been more disappointed in a moving company. This company is a total racket and nothing about their service is "as is". From the moment of pick-up, through the weeks in between and the day before drop off (which we paid to have expedited) --- they tortured us with calls about added costs and urgent needs. When you are paying a PREMIUM for a coast-to-coast move, your moving company should know at the time of their engagement that parking permits and shuttles (FOR A DELIVERY IN SAN FRANCISCO CITY PROPER) would be required. How on earth would it be conceivable to park an 18-wheeler on a hill in San Francisco to unload belongings. Seriously??To boot, the movers broke the biggest and most fragile item (glass table) we shipped, which was clearly marked and packaged and despite filing a claim, we just found out that there will be NO corrective action or reimbursement. After the constant harassment and epicly bad customer service, Professional Moving Solutions didn't even follow up after delivery. If you care about your belongings, need to stick to a budget or want a full-service, professional provider -- DO NOT call Professional Moving Solutions. They are a total racket and could not care less about customer service or your belongings.

You Will be Lied And Then Your Furniture Will be Destroyed!!

I was convinced by one of the customer’s sales rep at this company that they offered the most competitive rates and second to none services.  According to the rep, the moving company had their own trucks and the personnel were uniformed. I accepted their offer and their quote and in June 24, 2013 the mover’s showed at my house and my wife received them since I had to work.  The distance between the houses (departing) to my other property (receiving) was only 4.1 miles. Roughly 7 minutes driving.   First, two out the three hooligans looking-like movers did not had proper uniforms and they showed up in Penske rented truck.  The estimated quote of $600 became $1,200 in an instant.  They were relaxingly taking their time to do their job for which I was paying.  It took this company about 6 hours just to load items that were already boxed into the truck, load the furniture and wrap few things. And they were three movers!!   They got to my house 5 minutes before I got home. And I got home at around 5 pm.  At the moment I parked, RIGHT BEFORE MY OWN EYES, ONE OF THE HOOLIGANS LOOKING-LIKE SKINNY DUDE IN PLAIN WHITE SHIRT HIT THE DOOR FRAME WITH MY SON’S BED HEADER!!  I was infuriated and called the company right in front the foreman which was no older than 23 years old.  I told the gentleman who picked my call about what these morons where doing to my furniture and how much they dragged their feet. The foreman spoke to the company headquarters rep and all it did was to make things even worse. The movers did not care one single itty bitty bit about the condition they were leaving my household goods!! They were tossing and dropping things everywhere and they told me that if anything was broken or scratch, I will need to file the claim form online. It took little over 2 hours to this bunch of clowns to download the truck.  I took the foreman through the stuffs that were visibly damage and supposedly he acknowledges the careless of which they treated my household items. There was broken furniture, broken and chunks of wood tore apart from the main bedroom dresser and my son’s dresser, badly scratched wood stands, bed rails, picture frames, leather furniture, and many many other things. I filled the claim as directed and I spoke to the manager.  I sent her all the pictures of all the damages, I sent her separate emails, and she also acknowledged the condition caused by her employees.  According to the claim, it would take about 90 days to complete. It wasn’t until September that I called the claims company, which is Anthem from San Antonio, Texas, and I spoke to a very rude woman and they sent me an email. I replied to the email.  Three weeks later, I got the letter of their decision….they stated that $66 dollars was the fair amount for the damages.  I was completely offended by this ridicule amount and I called the Manager….. I called the first week of November….and first, it took all the Might and Power from God and the Angels to have the Manager to call me.  I explained to her the issue and she stated that she will look into it and contact me again.  To this very day, she is refusing to call me back. I am a disable veteran with two combat tours in Iraq.  I can’t work anymore due to my physical and mental condition. I can’t fix or replace what this company has done to my household items. This is a company that I would never recommend to anyone, especially those who are veterans. Is a complete shame on their part to destroy a person’s furniture and leave as is the customer’s concerns was nothing to them.  This company lacks integrity, moral values, will not care and will not follow up with their customers at all.  If they have at least a little bit of honesty and integrity, they would, at least, listen to the recorded calls at around 5:30 pm on 24 June, 2013. And if this company has at least, a little considerations for those who has sacrifice so much to this country…they would at least try to make things right.  .

Very Negative Experience.

This company currently has a D-MINUS rating in the Btter Business Bureau for poor customer service, dishonesty, and 61 registered complaints, not including mine.  Overcharged the estimated cost by $1,000.00, delayed my delivery and didn't tell me, and damaged not only my furniture, but the walls of my apartment!
After 25 days of frustration, lack of communication, and disrespect from this company, they have finally delivered my furniture.  Unfortunately, it arrived severely damaged.  The movers refused to assemble any furniture on site, and refused to conduct an inventory with me.  My walls are scratched and dented, and I am unsure how to file a claim for household damages.  The company would not tell me where my goods were or when they would arrive.  I called and emailed repeatedly, and one time out of every three, I got a response.  The delivery date was the 15th, but when I called them on that date, they told me that my items hadn’t even left Florida yet.  Nobody had thought to mention that to me, who had been planning around that date by taking a day off work without pay.  When I expressed my concern and stress about not knowing when my delivery would take place, I was made to feel like a nuisance.  It was very stressful not knowing where my valuables and furniture were.  It is even more stressful now that I have an apartment full of disassembled broken furniture.  I asked for a discount to cover the cost of unexpectedly having to stay in a hotel for the extra amount of time it took them to deliver my things, but I was told that my delivery was “not late.”  This company treats their customers very poorly.  The service was expensive and very late, and the delivery was a nightmare.  Please, please avoid this company.

I hired the company in April 2015 to move me the end of June 2015 and sent them an 89.00 deposit.  the day before I was supposed to move they informed me they could not move me until that Monday.  I had other obligations and had to be at my destination on that Sat. they told me to get someone else and they would refund the deposit.  I had to pay through the nose at that last minute to get moved.  It has taken me 6 weeks to get the refund. I have been lied to and have been rude to the experience was awful.  I then had to open an account and give them the number so they could transfer the funds to me.  I was also asked why I had closed the account I paid them with.  they said they had mailed a check three different times yet I didn't receive any of the checks they even verified the address,  I don't  believe a check as ever sent.  I opened a new account as I didn't trust them to have my account number that I work from.  Now I have to go close the account.  It has been one hassle after another for me and all in the process of buying a place, putting child in school, Having animals delivered to the farm.  What a mess I would never use them again and definitely do not recommend them.

Horrible Experience.

They SUCK..DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.  I cancelled my move and they still have not refunded my deposit and they have had it for 20 days.  They will not respond to emails or phone calls. When you call the sales department will not transfer you over to accounting or even customer service.  You have to leave a message.

Service cost: $350
